Katahara Onsen Hydrangea Village

Katahara Onsen (hot spring resort area) is situated at the foot of Sanganesan Mountain Range. It has a long history which is represented by Batou Kannon and Yakushinyorai Statue at Hodaiji Temple. Also, this area includes Sangane Mountains Skyline which is called the Land of Hydrangeas, because it has over 50000 hydrangeas. Every June, Hydrangea Festival takes place and the area is lit up beautifully in the evening.
