Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art opened in 1992 on the 10th floor of Aichi Arts Center and exhibits its collection of Japanese and international arts objects from the early 20th century to date in the exhibition of the holding collection.

Located in Nagoya’s downtown Sakae area, this large cultural complex brings together a variety of cultural facilities, including the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, the Aichi Prefectural Art Theater, and the Aichi Prefectural Arts Promotion Service.

Temporary exhibitions featuring various art trends and artists are held at all times. The center has various functions and hosts art exhibitions, concerts, and many other events. There are even restaurants and art shops, so there’s always something fun to do, whenever you drop by!

Hours: Operations hours may vary. Open: 10:00-18:00 (Fri. till 20:00)

Closed: Every Monday (or the following day if a national or substitute holiday falls on a Monday), year-end and New Year’s holidays.

Admission: ¥500 (Extra charges for special exhibitions and galleries)
