– For Multimedia-related events The Ueda Multimedia Center , which was completed in 1995, spear-heads Ueda’s drive to establish itself as a “multimedia city”. The first of its kind in Japan, this center boasts a “multimedia city”. Taking the initiative for Japan, this center boasts a wide variety of multimedia facilities, including a 208-seat lecture hall and a seminar room equipped with personal computers. Situated in the middle of a vast pine forest, the Center is not far from other educational institutions engaged in research concerning various cutting-edge technologies.

Ueda Creation Hall (UEDA SOZO KAN)

– For Exhibition, Sports, Concerts, etc. The Ueda Creation Hall, one of Ueda’s landmarks, serves as the gateway to an area southwest of town with some of Japan’s bestloved tourist areas, including Shiodadaira and Bessho Hot Springs. This Hall can handle 500-person conferences as well as smaller scale meetings. Centered around the Cultural Hall, the Center also offers a gymnasium, the Ethnology Library, a planetarium, and much more.
