Niseko is a major alpine resort extending over the four towns of Kutchan, Niseko, Rankoshi and Kyowa. Grand mountains conjure up images of Europe and change with the turn of the seasons. Niseko’s hot springs, ski slopes, and various other outdoor activities, make it a recreation Mecca in both summer and winter.
Niseko is located in Hokkaido , the northernmost island of Japan and is renowned for its superb ‘powder snow’, fantastic low altitude skiing and snowboarding opportunities. Mt.Yotei (Hokkaido’s very own Mt Fuji) awes visitors to the district all year round and provides endless photo opportunities. Niseko is the main attraction for many visitors from around the world to visit Hokkaido and is home to many entrepreneurs and adventure professionals, who have utilized their diverse selection of skills to enhance tourism offerings in the district.
Niseko Annupuri, the highest mountain at the center of Niseko, is 1,308 meters above sea level. In winter, people flock to ski resorts here, including 1,116-meter-high Iwaonupuri. In summer, you can enjoy mountaineering and tours to lakes and marshes. Hot springs pour forth in abundance, luring many bathers year-round. Mt. Niseko Annupuri features a beautiful rectangular summit and attracts hikers and climbers in summer and skiers and snowboarders in winter.
