This area lies just west of Hakone Yumoto. Located nearby the best sightseeing spots in Hakone and the Lake Ashi Sightseeing Boat embarkation point. To get there, take the Hakone Tozan Tetsudo Line to Gora Station, and then jump on the cable car to Sounzan. Then, take the overhead cable car to Ubako Onsen. There is also a bus from Sounzan that takes 25 minutes. This is another quiet retreat away from the more popular, touristy and expensive areas.

By Hakone Ropeway – 130 m high above the ground between Sounzan and Owakudani, look down from the sky, the big crater will move you by its overwhelming energies. Proceeding to Ubako and Togendai, You will really enjoy the grand view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji behind Mt. Kami.

Getting Sengokuhara / Ubako Onsen Area:

Toward Hakone, 25 min by car from Gotenba I.C. on Tomei expressway / From Odakyu Hakone Yumoto Station, ride on the Izu-hakone bus bound for Kojiri or Hakone-en and get off at Ubako bus stop. 5 min walk from here / From Hakone-yumoto stn., ride on the Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora and from Gora, ride on the cable car to Sounzan, next ride on ropeway from Sounzan to Ubako station.
